MEDIA ADMINISTRATION

Many people underestimate the importance of a solid administrative process.  Some of the tasks Mediactive sees as important are:

  • Management of the billing process to ensure payables/receivables are handled in appropriate timeframe.
  • Quality control of ads to ensure colour registration, size, etc. is accurate.
  • Negotiate compensation from media suppliers when there are problems.
  • Based on client accounting practices, Mediactive will supply organized third party documentation of all tear sheets, invoices, etc.
  • There must be an accountable process to deal with all advertising queries from the media  in a timely and progressive manner.  These queries must be evaluated and passed along with a “Yay” or “Nay” recommendation and recorded for current and future reference.  This information must be made available to the client in a manner that minimizes the time the client needs to spend dealing with media solicitations.
  • Media Reporting – It is important that this part of the business be handled by individuals who can readily assess and adapt to client needs on an ongoing basis.  Media schedules are be reported in a way that suits client requirements.  The process of reporting will be developed in collaboration between the client and agency.  It could involve showing media schedules and budgets by region or district, by month, by quarter or any combination of these.
